About Us.

Quota International of Morro Bay (QIMB) is a nonprofit service organization dedicated to assisting people in our local communities. Established in 1965 as a local chapter of Quota International, Inc., QIMB has been active for more than half a century.

Quota International, Inc. was created in 1919 and remained in operation for more than 100 years. Despite its dissolution in 2020, local clubs still exist not only in the U.S. but in other countries. Quota International of Morro Bay, with more than 30 members, continues to thrive.

What We Do.

Through QIMB’s Charitable Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit public charity, all donations are used to support our local projects and programs.

We provide:

  • Meals for those in need

  • Educational scholarships

  • Assistance for those that are deaf, hard-of-hearing and/or speech impaired

  • Aid for disadvantaged children, teens, young adults and families; women and children at risk; local military families and veterans

In addition, we support our local schools and charitable organizations such as the SLO Food Bank.

Fundraising.

Through QIMB’s Charitable Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity, club members participate in fundraising events that directly benefit our local projects and programs.

Our annual Fashion Show Luncheon is our largest fundraiser. It has become such a highly anticipated event that we usually run out of tickets.

We also set up booths at various community events throughout the year to accept donations. In 2023 QIMB raised more than $1,000 to support local veterans.

Our Mission.

Our mission, as defined by Quota’s bylaws, is focused on the needs of families in our local communities with an emphasis on education, communicative disorders, our military and women and children at risk. Moreover,

  • To serve country and community

  • To promote high ethical standards

  • To develop good fellowship and friendship
